Sensustech Marine GSM Service Monitoring

Check That Your System Is Always Working Correctly For Each Of Your Customers

The Sensustech system is designed to monitor the service that is being delivered on each of your ships. It checks the service being delivered for people registered with a wide variety of operators.

How it works

Sensustech quality monitoring units are called “PAMs” (Performance Analysis Mobiles). They are very different from traditional radio test and measurement devices. PAMs act in a similar way to real subscribers. They can make and receive voice and data calls and report on their experience. They report to a remote server on whether they have coverage, whether the call was dropped and what the delivered quality was. PAMs are configured, maintained and upgraded remotely. No physical access is needed. All data is uploaded at regular intervals using the network’s data services. PAMs can download different “SIM personalities” remotely from a “SIM Server”. This allows for regular testing using SIMs from each of your major roaming partners. It also allows for “ad hoc” testing in the event of a reported problem.

Remote Management

The Sensustech Marine GSM Service Monitoring System is totally remotely managed and needs no intervention from ship board personnel.

Individual tests can be scheduled for operation at a specific time or repeated regularly. Ad hoc tests can also be carried out immediately if a problem is suspected.

The system offers a wide range of reporting tools. These include graphical reports to show trends and geographical reports to show shore based interference locations.

The system can also send alarms by email or SMS if certain pre-set KPIs are breached allowing you to deliver the best possible customer service and minimising revenue loss.
