New Concept in Intelligent Network Architecture is Launched by EI
Evolved Intelligence, the next generation IN company, has launched a new concept in Intelligent Network architecture. Evolved Intelligence’s ENGINE, promises operators access to next generation, carrier grade, IN services without the need for swapping out existing hardware or undergoing major platform migrations. It also offers an open architecture with the ability to rapidly prototype and launch new services. These features when combined with ENGINE’s ability to run on standard platforms, an order of magnitude lower in costs than traditional IN systems, promise next generation services that are affordable for most operators.
Says Evolved Intelligence’s CTO, Nick Jones: “We offer advanced application suites in roaming, messaging, prepay, VPN services and fixed/mobile convergent services at a fraction of the cost of traditional IN rollouts. Additionally, for the real innovators in the industry, new, conceptual services can be developed in a matter of weeks, not months or years, allowing true market testing and product refinement prior to the main launch.”
Says Evolved Intelligence’s Marketing Director, Robin Burton: “Traditionally it has been very expensive to launch a new service. Operators had to be pretty sure that a new service was going to pay back before committing to launch. The beauty of the ENGINE architecture is that new services can be prototyped and launched at very low cost. If they do not get a large user take up, it’s not a disaster. This encourages creativity within the team and in the long term, ensures that the operator has a higher number of successful services generating additional revenue and creating greater customer loyalty.”
According to the company, the commercial realities faced by operators have been a key factor driving the development of the ENGINE architecture. The company has been careful not to create a product that requires a complete swap out of existing platforms.
Says Dave Edwards, Evolved Intelligence’s CEO: “If you take pre-pay as an example. As an operator you will have invested a lot in your current platform. It is probably well shaken down and problem free. The last thing that you want to do is to rip it out and install a completely new platform with all of the financial and migration issues that that involves.”
Evolved Intelligence is a Bristol, UK based company.
