The Sensustech system can scan for sources of interference from other operators. If interference is detected in an adjacent transmission band, then a message is send to the central management team by email, SMS or other methods to allow an alternative band to be selected remotely. This system is in compliance with the CEPT document (ECC Report 122, Vilnius, September 2008) which details the requirements for acceptable maritime GSM system operation when a vessel is operating in “Territorial Waters” (between 12NM and 2NM from land).
